Are judges ever held accountable?

In Florida, Alcee Hastings took a bribe as a judge to rule on a case. He was disbarred, but this was back in the 20th Century, IIRC.

You would think that was that. He ran for Congress, won, and served until he died. He was reelected by people of no ethics and low character.

Our country is populated by people that do not hold others accountable nor do they see the problem with the lack of trust in our leadership. We are more fractured than we were in the 1850s. 🤷‍♂️

I fear things have to get far worse before a critical number of citizens will stand up and say "Enough" and "I'm your huckleberry."
