Done!!!
Met with the baack surgeon yesterday for my 5 week post op exam. After poking and prodding me, he said, "You're cleared to resume normal activities."
Yay!!!
But he wants me to continue PT for at least another month, and limit the amount of weight I lift.
That won't be hard, considering how out of shape I am! Geez... PT yesterday afternoon kicked my butt, and I never got over 40 lbs on an exercise! The amount of muscle I lost both in my back and arms, along with the lack of flexibility is almost scary after just 6 months of not being able to do anything. And that is probably why I keep popping a rib head out of place...sigh
One of the hardest things is to try to get flexibility back! Those twisting exercises SUCK!!!
Anyhoo, off all drugs, so I'm actually able to write a little bit again, and I'm okay to travel now. But his last words as I walked out were, "And don't do anything stupid."
Moi, do stupid? Sigh... Shaddap out there... :-)

Call it anything but PT. Being a Navy guy, you have to make it palatable. My routine is to keep moving as strenuously as I can to keep from rusting. So far, it is working, as many of my passed friends could attest to if they hadn't.
Define "stupid". Anyhow...congratulations on the clean bill of health. Now, may I suggest this guy and his "founder" back excercises. Doesn't take too much time, and it really builds the back support we need. What crunches are to abs, this routine is for your back. https://youtu.be/4BOTvaRaDjI?si=PzExkPS5zqxaJvsV
