For the second year in a row, my dear old dad, who lives in an assisted living apartment now, insisted we have Thanksgiving dinner in the communal dining room with him. I think he thinks he’s doing us a favor by paying for dinner, but that’s because he has NEVER been a cook. It was always mom who cooked, decorated for the holidays, etc. He literally doesn’t care about any of it. Yes, it’s nice to not have to cook, but….that was always part of the celebration for me. Plus, now I don’t have lovely leftovers for several days afterward so, guess what?, I HAVE TO COOK.
"Pecan pie for breakfast" best breakfast ever.
"Pecan pie for breakfast" and some extra Metformin, please. ☺
Dale, prediabetic for the last 15 years but still okay, so I will pass on the Metformin.
Probably by the time I got to where he is from where I am it would all be gone. :(
Glad you had a good one...
Pecan pie! 😋😋😋😋
