I don't know that there is a riot season that can be easily be pigeonholed by date and time, AJ. Seems to me that most riots are generated by the faux outrage ginned up by community organizers in order to capitalize on an opportune Alinsky Moment or the need to participate in an inner city Olympic style organized, synchronized reparations shoplifting event...usually set to some dignified old school tune like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLGWQfK-6DY
My own preference is the truer Rooshun mix. And like the kids used to say on American Bandstand, "It's got a nice tune and I can dance to it". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4QQjwo9QbI
I'd promised myself I'd tune out on election day, and I did. But my eldest daughter called me late last night and said, "Daddy, do you want to hear some good news?". I told her to hit me with it, as I sort of figured she wouldn't call to tell me that Kamala had won. I'd been antsy and morose all day. My daughter told me that her husband said that he knew it was over for Kamala when she sent a stooge out to where the victory celebration was to be held to tell the crowd to go home, that Kamala would meet with them in the morning. My S-i-L, said that Kamala was probably too drunk and emotionally crushed to face the crowd. They also noted that the MSM was covering a Harris supporting crowd at Howard University, Harris' old alma mater, and that every time the camera would pan to the crowd it'd be smaller.
Last night at 0100 after my daughter called to tell me that Trump was projected the likely winner, but still shy of the required 270 electoral votes, that is when I decided that Mrs Flowers and I would have a celebratory meal of a Whataburger with cheese, medium fries and a medium milkshake...blood sugar be damned! Whataburger is open 24 hours a day. Mrs Flowers, who immigrated legally, hasn't grinned this much since she became a naturalized U.S. citizen 45 years ago. We came home as stuffed as a Philadelphia ballot box after that Whataburger meal.
My blood sugar was only 120, an hour ago. God is watching out for me and the rest of us.
I'm thinking that when one of the big 3 legacy TV news networks calls an election that early for a Republican that it carries the weight of a Papal Imprimatur potens/Nihil obstat. Just sayin', Doctor, but just you watch them spin it into a Russia/Vatican collusion conspiracy...which is the purest lunacy considering who is Pope.
I checked Florida's results last night. We don't have to worry about several intrusive ballot initiatives that the Northerners tried to push on Florida Man. ™️ Our congressman was reelected, defeating one of the many carpet baggers coming after his spot. I can't control what the people in America's other states and cities do, but not my monkeys, not my circus. 🤷♂️
Anyway, I have several short stories to write, ideate, and research to keep me busy. Parts of 2025 will be awesome, and other parts not so much. Like every year in recorded history.
I'm starting to wonder when riot season officially opens. Is it local dawn? Or is it dusk, following their latest excuse to act like barbarians?

I slept through it and woke up surprised this morning! And it was a NICE surprise!
Even NBC has finally admitted it on their web page. Even Arizona's shenanigans won't change a thing.

You're right, some of the sour-grapers on Twitter are shouting "Russian Disinformation!"
