I have an Irish ancestor who was a slave. Not an indenture, a slave. A lot of Irish slaves were sold in the new world by the British and they were treated far worse than those slave from Africa.
Most of them were simply killed when they weren't needed anymore as people wouldn't buy them.
I'm thankful I took the attitude early in my working career to realize: The Gov't is not in place to help me. I'm really on my own to figure it out. So I invested in retirement plans on my own early.
It's paid off so far until taxes and inflation, along with freepers getting handouts take it all.
I've been told my whole life that Social Security wouldn't be around for my retirement. After seeing the pittance that my grandmother got from SS, and now the latest projection, I know it's not something to rely on. It's a good thing I've always contributed to my own retirement since I was in college. I really need to increase what I'm contributing, but inflation has cooked us the last few years. Assuming our supplemental retirement accounts keep growing around an average 4% for the next several years, my wife's and I's pensions plus our supplemental accounts should cover 100% of our salaries (compared to what we're making in our last year of work) once we retire. That leaves SS as "bonus" money that use for fun things. Fingers crossed anyways.
I dunno, man, if people don’t want to vote, that means our votes count for more, right? They get to flounce, we get to win more - Dems lose a block because the block feels taken for granted; we get to win more - but I repeat myself - sounds like a win/win solution to me.

So how much am I owed?
People who want reparations won't vote unless they get some? No reparations means Democrats get out of Congress, local government, school boards?
Her proposal is acceptable.
It's all so tiresome. They've been trained to the gibme. Want reparations? Go to Africa and get them from the blacks that sold you in the first place.
So her solution to someone trying to "disenfranchise" black people is... for black people to disenfranchise themselves? Terminally retarded.
Yea, retirement financing....

Rep. Summer Lee, D-Pa., said during an interview on Sunday that "Black Americans would stop voting if they aren’t given reparations."
Your terms are acceptable maddam
