I still use the clock/radio. It fits. its small. And I can read the numbers in the morning without glasses. Big plus. Oh the radio, there is nothing to listen to.
I wish I had one of those old fashioned transistor radios that worked. 9v battery and it was good for a week of use. Then I had to beg for another battery.....
The alarm clock; I have 2. One in my bedroom is still in use. Set to an AM station for 0530. M-F I get up to the news; if there was no nuclear explosion, the day has a chance to start well. The other is set to AM in my garage. Next to a radio set to FM.
Well, I guess the amount of motivation for the kids to crank that ice cream maker was directly related to WHEN they got to lick them. (I'm sure many hoped that THIS time they would get to lick them right as they were lifted out of the ice cream.)
My boss still does the ice cream with the mixer and the salt and ice around the bucket. It's electric though. She says and I have no doubt that you just can't get anything in the store that compares.
I had that clock radio.
Actually, we still have one and it still gets used and I'd post a picture but somebody needs to dust on their nightstand....
Same.

Still using the alarm clock

I remember all of those!
And those aluminum cups, we had a whole big bunch of them.
Sony originally made radio too wide for shirt pockets.
So to advertise they had bigger pockets on the models.
Thanks, I didn’t know that!
Amusing, and typical clever kludge when they first broke into the American market.
We didn’t have aluminum cups, we had Hardee’s Big Moose cups and Tupperware!!!
Didn’t have that radio, but I used one I built from a kit from RadioShack, that I modified to work a bit better…
Definitely licked those beaters a few times…
That alarm clock still haunts my dreams, I think I quit using it in 2008, when I got an iPhone3g.
Gee.... you really ARE "Old"...
