In the Florida panhandle, we've gotten our first non-rainy days in over a month. Gully washers and thunder almost every day. Way more than previous years.
Camping here in NWPA on the edge of the Allegheny National Forest locally known as the “Big Woods”. Rustic type place, nearest camper a good 60-70 yards away. Under a big green canopy of old growth w a nice breeze. Can let my “boys” run free, no one cares & no need for leashes during our daily walks. 90 everywhere else, lower 80’s here in the woods. And the lightning bugs just came out, they’re everywhere! Best place in the entire f’n world.
We've gotten brief rain (serious downpours) that drop about .02 to .04 inches every few days. We also got about a half inch over the weekend. It's been bringing the temperatures down from the 90's - we're even getting into the 70's at night - but the humidity has been pretty high.
It's been several years since we've had a summer like this. That drought we had that lasted about 3 years looks to be over? Definitely seeing weather more like the first few years we moved here back in '18.
I'm waiting to see how August is. So far July hasn't been too bad, though I'm cutting the grass a lot again!
Having worked my entire life outside, I prefer hot and sweaty to cold and shivering. Maryland’s climate is considered humid subtropical in the eastern part of the state, with hot, humid summers and cool to cold winters.
We'd happily send you some of the rain we've been getting for the last week, and more coming through the end of the month. With temps in the upper 40s and mid-50s, we've seen termination dust at least once this month already. It's a very strange year.

I saw tomorrow's forecast, only to the upper 80's, and thought to myself how nice such cooler weather would be.
(Yeah, I'm getting used to weather in North Texas a lot faster than I ever thought I would.)
