I love my GPS navigation software on my phone, but I always carry an atlas (national and state) and plenty of regional maps, too. I like maps I can scribble on and use a compass with.
Wow. And yup. I have my paper atlas. The friggin' atlas that Honda bought from a third-party decided to try and sell me an update last year, which ticked me off. I found out this year that Honda doesn't deal with that company and sets it up, so you can link your phone to the car to display the map on the car's screen. 🤦♂️ Wow, that's even better. /sarc Anyway, I use the phone to provide turn by turn directions after I study the paper maps I carry in the car. Because I don't trust map programmers that live far away from the "fly-over states."
I love paper maps. I have pocket atlases in each glove box, but they’re only good for basic stuff. I also have large atlases in the storage compartment in the back of each vehicle. And I have old AAA and National Geographic maps, along with a 1938 Rand McNally Standard Atlas.

makes you kinda wonder if the Sun is sympathetic to the Earth's groans and is trying to help her clean up a bit....
Does make me think that when i stop by a Love's truck stop this weekend, I might just pick me up a fresh, new trucker's road atlas!
