I am thinking more like, "They made their bed, now they can sleep in it" but more along the line of they pooped in their bed. Last thing California needs is more homeless people. Sad situation. I lived in California for about 9 years back when it ranged from very nice to tolerable. Sacramento, Oakland, Alameda, Treasure Island, Long Beach, Seal Beach. Fantastic and wonderful landscapes, great hiking, trekking in the Sierra's, camping, rock scrambling, snowshoeing, sightseeing. Friendly people in the countryside. Many fond memories of California. I won't go back and let them get spoiled.
In both examples, the phrase "depraved indifference" constantly comes to mind as I read the accounts. 🤬
