Legacy???
Is 'this' what the Dems really want as Xiden's legacy?
President Joe Biden on Monday called the U.S. Supreme Court “extreme” as he detailed his proposal for sweeping changes, including limiting justices to 18-year terms, during a speech to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act at the Lyndon B. Johnson Library in Austin.
Biden unveiled his plan for Supreme Court reform, which also included an enforceable ethics code for the nine justices, in an op-ed in The Washington Post on Monday. He also called on Congress to pass a constitutional amendment to limit presidential immunity.
Full article, HERE from the Texas Tribune, since I don't have a WAPO subscription and the Oped is behind a paywall.
Welp, 'personally', I think the constitutional amendment is DOA, but if the dems get control of the entire congress, the other two could very well pass, as long as 2/3 vote is not required.
But I cannot help but wonder if something like this is what they want as his legacy as he goes out the door. I know it's not going to be 'good' anyway, but damn...

all they can see is that their plans were thwarted and this is "well, if the rules don't give us what we want, then we'll change the rules because the only thing that matters is us winning!" They are not thinking of the long term consequences of such rules because they believe that if they can get control of the Supreme Court just as they have the other 2 branches of our government, they will never be out of power, and if they are in power, even the new rules won't matter. As for Biden's legacy, since they are actively re-writing history, they aren't too worried about that, either, as long as they get into power. they think they not only have people of this generation gaslit, they honestly think the gaslighting will continue into the future because they are zealots for their far left ideologies and marxist philosophies and honestly believe they are creating utopia, and the future they that are aspiring to build will be so perfect that people will truly accept that the ends justified the means.
Never you mind the reality of the policies they are trying to implement and the historical record of such policies in other countries in the 20th century.....
I think the goal is to push the conversation in that direction if they can't get what they want today. How else did we get every POS piece of legislation?
FDR tried to gut the Supreme Court back in the day because they didn't support his socialist programs.
I also think it's important to note that he pushed this at LBJ's library. 🤔
