The 'bubble' those liberals live in will pop some day; they live in terror of having to deal with folks like family members, who didn't give a crap about liberal feelings, perspectives, or desires. It's the whole "How to talk to your family about abortion" talking points crap that was shoved at liberals for Thanksgiving several years ago.
Liberals can't deal with "Now it's my turn to have my say because I just spent a half hour listening to your crap" and don't want that to happen in the wider world. Newscasts are just scripted temper tantrums, which causes me to change the channel or open a book.
Seriously, why should you care if you are never called to account? Why care about the rules if there are no consequences to breaking them? We see this illustrated all the time by catch-and-release policies for thugs and petty criminals; why would human nature differ when you look (nominally) higher up the social ladder?
And I am highly confident that this is a Hatch Act violation.
This will continue until some pointed examples are made.
Folks are beginning to finally take note of this fact.
