I don't understand not making as big a deal about Father's Day, as Mother's Day. Our kids take us out and give us flowers and little gifts and cards - for both of us. Men deserve to be acknowledged and thanked and spoiled a little bit, too!

My kids are 48 and 49. They're very good about staying in touch. My wife always remembers the important days like our wedding anniversary, birthday, Father's day, Christmas with a hug and a generous envelope of cash. I like to think I am thoughtful like her but I'm often time-late by a day or two. I make up for it by doing the heavy lifting, killing water moccasins, climbing the stepladder to change lightbulbs, mowing the grass on 4 acres and other sundry tasks.
