The only reason this is such a California problem is the perpetually mild weather. It’s one of the only states west of the Mississippi where people can survive year-round without shelter. Yes, I know the Native Americans did it in the plains for thousands of years, but they also had tight knit communities and the institutional knowledge needed to survive. California is one of the few places where someone can survive the environment with little to no knowledge of outdoor survival.
The only reason they sweep up homeless is for optics. The head of Communist China came to San Francisco, and no homeless to be found. 🤦♂️ Chinese agents already had photos of the homeless before the visit. You can't pretend that the homeless weren't there before.
Oh, well. It would make for an entertaining thriller to have spies among the homeless in a capital city suddenly turned loose on the infrastructure. 🤷♂️
Oh ho, so it’s evil when republicans governors in TX and FL bus illegals out of their states because they can’t accommodate all the people, but it’s humane and kind when democratic mayors do it to the homeless.
I saw on the news this morning that Chevron is now on the growing list of major corporations leaving California. I commented to my husband that we can only hope that enough businesses and people leave to weaken that economy enough that California will lose the powerful sway it has on the rest of the country-maybe in the future it will no longer be true that “as goes California, so goes the rest of the nation.”
Though I do fear for the people of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and most especially Texas where all these refugees from Commifornia are fleeing as it seems more often than not, many of them (not all but many) bring the same destructive policies with them that destroyed California, and as we see in many states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, liberal democrats don’t need to infiltrate the entire state-they just need to get in power in major metros to control the entire state.
