Had em all my life. The best thing is to ignore them and they will drift out of your center field of vision. Of course I say that, but it's very hard to not "follow" movement with your eye. Which of course just starts the little buggers moving again...
I never had em bad before my first bout of Covid. Then something happen. Now I have a what looks like a sheet of cellophane floating in water in one eye and the other... looks like a dang cat on top of the TV set wagging it's tail in front of the screen. It's infuriating. Worse, there is nothing that can be done except "wait for them to settle out". 5 years on, still waiting.
Like Zig & Zag I guess there is a YIG & YAG. Heard of Yttrium Iron Garnet filters in microwave electronics. YAG is new to me. Stick with analog technologies...you know...Super Het's, vacuum tubes, some real old school dBm's. Not letting anyone put a laser near my eyes. When I hear floaters, I think of dead mackerel. Leapin' Gebbus, man. You gave me a start.
So, it is a cousin to the YIG. Zig & Zag, Yin & Yang, YIG & YAG. Hah! I like that the inventor spelled it in the English english way...al-U-min-e-um. Further, "Y3Al5O12"--> "Yealso, I too"-->"Yea, also I too". YAG cousin to YIG.
Captcha: Is there a "select all" shortcut? Re. floaters: they are proteins, and there are ways to help clear them up. I had them bad after Covid, too. Seems like I just saw an article about dealing with them somewhere, I'll let you know when I find it.

Rest your head on the washer during the spin cycle. Works for me. ☺
That it does… sigh

Oh man, SO sorry to hear that. That would drive me nuts!
Yeah, it sometimes can give me a "jump scare" because I see movement where there isn't any or can't be. Keeps you on your toes while driving.

Yttrium aluminium garnet (YAG, Y3Al5O12) is a crystal developed specifically for lasers. It worked!!!
