it's what comes of emoting rather than reasoning. When your beliefs are centered around, and established by your feelings, as Americans have been encouraged to do for the last thrity years or so, facts that don't match your feelings are thrown out. It must be faked because if it wasn't, then everything that you believe, must be wrong, and that just can't be.
The fact that people died is irrelevant to them. (In fact, the majority of leftists think that ANY Trump supporters dying is a good thing.) As for why so many believe that the attempts were staged, it is because they know that their side would (and has) stage attacks against themselves to drum up support, so they can't comprehend why our side wouldn't do the same thing.
It's because to vote democrat these days you have to be 1) Stupid and 2) totally believe anything that democrats say.
I don't know if this can be fixed, having that many morons in a society. Then again, all of the ones who are saying it was staged probably are the same ones who wished one of those assassinations had worked. Who are rooting for another one.
How much of this is the result of generations of media (looking mostly at episodic TV) consumers being fed stories that depend upon plot twists that involve elaborate conspiracies, criminal masterminds with far-reaching networks, and convoluted intrigue? I’m not saying all of the above don’t exist, but Occam’s Razor is a thing that a lot of people seem to forget.
The country is about 50-50 Blue and Red, Left and Right. That 30% number might mean that only 60% or about two thirds of the moonbats believe the assassination attempt was faked. The sane and semi-sane are still in the majority at 70%. When do 70% of the people ever agree on anything? And let's remember that 50% of the world's population is on the left side of the IQ Bell Curve. Let's take this for a win. The math never lies. Does it?
The trad-media has spent so much time pushing BS at their readers/viewers that just about any theory that is critical of Trump gets wings. Butler had casualties other than Trump, serious and fatal. If anyone is willing to kill innocent civilians to fake an assassination attempt they deserve a special space in hell. The golf course attempt never really got to the point of a weapon being fired, but the sniper hide location and the weapon found indicate a reasonably proficient marksman could have killed Trump there. The attempted escape and subsequent conviction would seem to prove intent if you believe the justice system is basically honest. This last attempt would be comical if the intent wasn't so serious. A total amateur gets past the security line and would have entered the event hall if he hadn't tripped. Either he is stupid as a stump or indoctrinated by the media, take your pick. Three attempts on the President's life and the Democrats are sorry none succeeded. If the same happened to them they'd be kicking doors and imprisoning innocent people as they did with January 6.
I take these Yougov polls. You can sort of tell how the pollsters want you to answer. Also, I would like to see there sorting process, who takes the poll and who is not given it. But even so its still scary.
No one reads history. They all think that assassinations are carried out as portrayed in "The Day of the Jackal" movie. Not the new one with Bruce Willis and Richard Gere 🤦♂️ but the one from the 60s that was actually based on Frederick Forsythe's book.
If they'd studied history, they'd learn that it's usually "The Day of the Chucklehead" when it comes to political assassination attempts. ArchDuke Ferdinand died because of bad luck and stupidity all around. FDR almost died when a near-midget Italian immigrant missed in his attempt. Teddy Roosevelt was shot, gave a political speech, and went to the hospital after.
I'm convinced these views are because of the faulty and biased coverage of the events. The useful idiots of the progressive left would likely think they were all staged no matter what, but those in the middle and right should see that none were. The Secret Service really needs an overhaul badly, and soon. All of government does, but those tasked with the security of our government representatives needs to happen ASAP. There's been so many holes that it looks like insiders are actively plotting to take out Trump.
The only way the secret service gets fixed is if the patriot act gets repealed and homeland security goes away. There really isn't a 'secret service' anymore. It's just the same group of homeland security people with a different badge.

Omar's staged attempt was laughable.
Nobody ever went broke betting on the stupidity of the common man.

Those people you mention ... are Democrats and RINOs and they all have a vested psychological interest in believing what they believe.
I think it is media messaging, encouraged by delusional Democrat politicians.

Who were the respondents to the poll? How were the questions phrased?

Chuckleheads.
