I noticed that about the Israeli hostages, too. There might have been one female among the living; it's hard to tell from the photos and names alone.

I believe (without substantiation) that the IDF likely negotiated the prior releases with a priority on getting women and children out first. Given widely-held beliefs on how Muslim terror groups treat females in captivity, it seems likely they would secure the women and children first, and that even the male hostages would support that decision.

Now there are no living hostages to worry about, it will be easier to apply pressure if the wogs get froggy.

Pretty safe assumption, I think, that all the females and children, who were probably kept isolated from the male captives were silenced so that they could tell no tales. Horrid to contemplate, but let us not forget who the really bad actors are, and what they did and will do again.
