They are nice even if they left out the most important branch of the armed services. (She says just before being 86ed off the substack)

Patience. The USAF gets their own stamp in 2197.

Well, 'technically' the Revenue Service doesn't exist today, since the Coast Guard has been turned over to DHS...

"And for many of us old farts, that was the ONLY communication we had with home in either direction. We didn't have the intarwebz, cell phones, etc. so we actually had to write out letters, send them, then wait a month (average) for an answer."

Dude, you got mail? Try 50 word, censored 'family-grams' and the AFNN when we actually caught the sked as your only contact with the outside world.

You guys had your special poopy suits with dolphin fins in your underwater travelling Man Cave and the comforts of "rum, sodomy and the lash". Quit bellyaching. ☺

It's great that a stamp is issued to commemorate the service of our three senior services. Just remember we also have the Coast Guard, the Air Force, and the Space Force. We owe a debt to all who serve and have served. As a proud Marine I congratulate all my brothers and sisters in arms. It's because of your dedication and sacrifice that we remain the land of the free and the home of the brave.
