Which is why I read you and enjoy it. We can gain by actually seeing our neighbors happy.

Read the book. Thought it was interesting. Again as I said we Jews after the war were allowed to grow here. In what was a Christian society. And I always thought that I had all of the 1st amendment rights. Growing up in the 60's wasn't so bad. I had rights my neighbors, Christian, the majority were secure in theirs as they should be. again I keep pounding maybe something as a minority we thought we gained. (I didn't) but we actually lost. Again to all a Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas! Thanks for the poem. Used to be Christians worked for Jewish folks on their holidays and they took our shifts for ours. Nobody thought it was wrong to have different beliefs or holidays, but it seems conformity is the rule now.

More's the pity.

Speaking as a non Christian, (Jew) why does it hurt me if my neighbors celebrate Christmas. It doesn't. When I grew up every thing said Christmas. We were a small minority and tolerated and left alone and allowed to flourish. Now no Christmas look at Google , seasonal holidays and people run around the streets saying and doing what about Jews. When were we the religious practicing Jews better off? Sorry for being such a pain on your humor columns which I like. But it hit a raw patch. And I had no one else to blow off steam too. So Merry Christmas.

I recommend a fictional work by James Michener called “The Source.” It helped me put things into context better than a theology degree, and it's a well told story to boot. People can suck, but understanding them better helps me get past “teh Stoopid.”

Not a problem Alexander. Yes, we have our differences, but I respect your holidays. Chanukah ended today at sundown with the extinguishment of the menorah,

To reiterate a sentiment, I am a Secular Humanist. I don't believe that Jesus is God, or in fact insert Diety of your choice. I do walk in Christs image as best able, but I have to forgive myself, or just refrain from sin in the first place. To date, I have found no other that thinks like this.
